The 4,000 year old Mold Cape, discovered in 1833, is an outstanding golden treasure and one of the most important Bronze Age finds in Europe; currently displayed in the British Museum there is a fine replica to be seen here in the town. Mold is home to Clwyd Theatr Cymru, a theatre of national importance that offers excellent productions of drama, dance, music and cinema.

Yr Wyddgrug – the Welsh name for Mold - is within easy reach of the Clwydian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Chester and the stunning beaches of the North Wales Coast. It has excellent road links with the motorway network via the A55 and frequent bus links to the railway stations at Chester, Flint and Wrexham. Manchester and Liverpool International Airports are both within 45 minutes drive time.
